The lyrics of this song kind of resonate with me on a personal level . My interpretation is that this song is about the struggle a lot of people are facing these days where some relationships and friendships are being destroyed because of unrealistic expectations. It’s personally affected me and I hope anyone else faced with choosing between being free or caving to someone’s demands does the right thing and does what’s right for their own sanity and safety. I won’t get into the details but I’m in a much better place than I would’ve been if I had caved to the demands of someone who wanted me to act a certain way for their own selfish reasons.
